Random Blurb. Some parts are excerpts of a recent argument with a close friend, some are other arguments I’ve heard in relation to the same topics. Some are me in “the fuck you mean?!” mode. Blergh -_-

I don’t know man. I just don’t know. There’s White people I bang with. There’s Black people I bang with and there are those who think I’m “too nice” for banging with the White folk or bothering to have any kind of political discourse with them. There’s Black folk that share my blood line givin me the ole’ “bootstrap” argument about how if we just taught our kids better and lived better, ate better, prioritized, etc that we could change race relations and how people perceive us. What they don’t understand is that if every Black man on this Earth dressed ONLY in business suits starting TOMORROW it would do NOTHING for the Black Diaspora at the macroeconomic, federal, senate or congressional levels nor would it destroy the prison industrial complex. Those systems are not controlled by us and we must take them over or come together and make them realistically accountable for ALL THEIR SHIT. There’s Black people in my own damn family who are tired of me being “Pro-Black” and “Afrocentric” as they like to call me, claiming I always take the “victim” route whenever I relate White privilege to any Black issue.

Cops wouldn’t fuck with us if we didn’t wear our pants hanging down to our ankles.

Only niggas with guns or drugs on their waste do that. So if you do that, you should expect to be fucked with. It’s just LOGICAL that a cop be more wary of a Black person dressed a certain way. WE CRIMINALIZE OURSELVES. (I’m sorry WHAT?)

You can’t be mad at the cops for targeting Black people when the statistics show that poverty stricken neighborhoods have the highest crime rates and that most Black neighborhoods in America are poor. (Wait … what?)

And like, if I’m chasin a dude, and he reaches for his waist, and I say put your hands up and he refuses, and starts fiddling with something, and I’ve been trained to view a certain kind of people a certain way, what do you think I’m gonna do? Am I gonna think about his family and whether or not he has kids when MY life is in danger?

Well if one officer started shooting the rest just probably fired to cover it up.

Red Tails being a big deal has NOTHING to do with the fact that Hollywood is so White-Washed that we have all of 6 prominent Black actors who are constantly forced to play the same damn roles.

Oh. Oh aight. How long did that take? What movies are they in playing “business women?” Cause ‘Two Can Play that game’ don’t fuckin count. No mainstream audience saw that shit. Even so, do you mean to tell me that makes up for the utter lack of Brown/Yellow/Black/Redness in the movie industry?  

Lots of movies get turned down not just Black ones.

You right. So let’s talk about the ones that don’t. Fuck is up with the ratio of all White movies to all Black?

They gotta be business minded. We not gonna bring no money in. We don’t go to the movies. We bootleg.

You WHILIN if you think the fact that 9,000% of movies are made with a White audience in mind has anything to do with the fact that they give no fucks about Black people. That Tyler Perry nigga is KILLIN THE GAAAAAAAAAAAAAME.

Ah, yes. Tyler Perry. Dude that makes the same movie 14,000,000,000,000 different ways. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Sure is. For some Black people. For others there are many more scenes than spousal abuse, alcoholism, bad ass kids, church, drug use, dysfunctional ass families, angry Black women, unbelievably nice guys, and “old school” grammas that are “real.”

Bet. The privatization of the school system isn’t the single most obvious attempt in history to blatantly and out-rightly deny accessibility and equity to a plethora of Black and Brown students at the elementary through college level. 

It’s not about race. It’s about class.
